Click here to view the petition which 2,100 people signed to help save Connecticut’s last large coastal forest.
Close to 1,000 acres, the forest is threatened by a 226 unit private golf course development. Not only would wildlife be harmed, but our aquifer, streams, and well water will be threatened by pollution and our country roads clogged with an estimated 1,000 additional cars. Plus, it is estimated to cost the town of Old Saybrook $35 Million up front and $140 Million 30-40 years from now for infrastructure.

This is an outrage….Can you imagine how much this will end up costing the town when we have to add on or build new schools??????
Keep the preserve as open land.
Please leave as open land.
The notion of converting this rare and pristine land into a luxury housing complex and a gold playground for the affluent is an outrage. One would think that, by now, we would all be keenly aware of the dangerous effects short sighted development- resulting in the steady deterioration of our surrounding environment. The real value of this land is immeasurable as it relates to the biological health of the region and it’s inhabitants.
